Consumers turn grim; house prices slid in Jan - Yahoo! News
Click the above^^^ link to read this story about the consumer housing market prices turning us everyday working people grim. I don't know man......The next president, whether it's a white women, black man, or old white man, better have a solution for this housing, oil, and credit crisis that is driving the U.S. into another soon to be recession. Last recession was in 2002, but I predict this one to be much worse in the long run. Damn man.......I'm outtie 5000(Thats some old school shit or urban slanguage for you all not in the know).
Depressed In The A.M.
I tell you man..... this world is going straight down the drain. I'm poor like most folks I know, and don't know how, we as poor folks are going to survive much longer(Off of petty low wage income). Food prices are starting to become unbearable as well. Calling for take-out and going grocery shopping, to cook one nights worth of food are almost identical in cost.
Steak, fish, ground beef, and chicken are all about $5-10 dollars for a pound or more. Ordering out for a large pizza for two is about the same $10 dollars. No big difference in price. Lets not even talk about rent (That takes up %70-80 of are monthly income). I know everyone pays rent, just speaking for low income folks like myself. I don't know man........I'm just stressed out, tired, sick of struggling sometimes.
I use this blog to vent to the world (Nobody cares anyway) so I have no problem doing it. Grimms out.

Wife Is The Breadwinner?
If I had it my way... I would be the bread winner. Right now things ain't that great for me in the financial department. I just hate when women throw the fact that they have a good job and carry the weight, and use THAT against you.
I just know what to do when things get upward for me again(When I get on my feet). Arguments due to low finances suck. Everyone seems to think if your not in a high financial bracket now of days, you don't mean shit and have no worth in life. I beg the differ, but whatever....
Remember this blog is about my personal thoughts, website that I'm still working on, current events, and whatever else I feel like talking about. I'm a moody person. I also say what I feel and do what I do. I don't conform to nobody and nothing. Maybe in the end? That's my problem. Anyways happy Tuesday all. Grimms out.

4 Career Risks Worth Trying
Anyone who needs some good career tips should digest into this article below. I know for myself personally, most jobs I take I hate within a few months. Sometimes even a few weeks. I get bored easily, or I feel like there is no way I can advance my career in a certain company. Or simply pay is too low, which you really can't bitch about (If you want to keep your job). Playing it safe is not always a good thing people!.

Alter on Obama's Race Speech | Newsweek Voices - Jonathan Alter | Newsweek.com
What Obama's speech says about the man who gave it.
Mar 18, 2008 | Updated: 4:37 p.m. ET Mar 18, 2008"
I think the speech Barack Obama gave yesterday in philly was quite historic. He touched on a very touchy subject, Race. He talked about how White Americans view Blacks (When not at work or behind closed doors). He explained how Blacks view Whites and the struggles, adversity, tension, and cultural segregation that race issues in the U.S., America and around the world bring and hinder upon us as a society, nation, and country in general. I'm glad he didn't throw his minister "under the bus" for spewing self hate rhetoric towards slavery from the past, 911, racism, and the war on classes (Poor, Middle Class, Rich). HE smeared him alitle bit, but they are still friends and he will remain Obama's pastor. I would like to hear Barack Obama speak and elaborate on issues like Education, Rising Gas Prices, Health Care, Jobs, and the war (Bringing the troops home)a bit more. We will just have to wait in see what the future holds. I still don't think America is ready for a black president, even though we are more then ready for one. In my opinion.

Learning XHTML and CSS 2.0
Learning XHTML and Cascading Style Sheets is fun but also quite challenging. I'm still trying to get the grip on things like Style Sheets, Depreciation, Parents and Child, DOCTYPES (Althought I use XHTML Transitional at the moment, may switch to strict).
Well I'm listening to Portishead's "Dummy" LP awaiting the new Portishead "Third" LP. Beth Gibbons is real creative and original. This will also be the first LP in over 10 years and third LP, hence the name. I'm out.

Gas prices hit record, will keep climbing for now: Financial News - Yahoo! Finance
I tell ya... gas prices are rising faster then I can stand up these days. Here in Boston, gas prices have already hit the $3.00 mark. I guarantee by the end of summer, gas prices will be around $4.00 or more per gallon. Some states are already at $4 per gallon or more. I can tell you, my wife and I, personally are already feeling the effects.

SoCal thrift store worker returns $30g - Yahoo! News: "SoCal thrift store worker returns $30g
Sun Mar 9, 6:13 AM ET
POMONA, Calif. - A thrift store worker in Southern California says she didn't think twice about returning $30,000 she found in donated clothing.

Barbarita Nunez was sorting clothes on Tuesday at the Veterans Thrift Store when she found a small box. Inside was an envelope of cash. Nunez said at first she thought the money was fake. But just in case, she gave it to her supervisor.
The money turned out to belong to a woman who had recently died. It was returned to her family, who gave Nunez a cash reward.
Nunez said she will send some of the reward to Mexico so her mother can have an eye operation and will use the rest to buy a digital camera."

We all know exercise is good for us.
Regular physical activity, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, can lower people's risk of a heart attack, colon cancer, diabetes and high blood pressure, as well as help with weight control, relieve arthritis pain and even reduce symptoms of depression. It can also cut down on visits to the hospital and doctor's office, as well as the need for medications.
Apparently, however, that's not enough to get us up off our couches and into the gym. More than half of U.S. adults don't engage in activity levels consistent with public health recommendations--and 24% aren't active at all in their free time.
The most common excuse: a lack of time. On top of commuting and working 60 to 80 hour weeks, you have a spouse and children competing for attention at home. By the end of the day, the need for sleep tends to override any desire to get fit. A 2007 University of Pittsburgh physical activity study, for instance, found that having a baby alone can cause men to work out almost 4.5 fewer hours per week, while women's activity levels fell by 1.3 hours.

N.Y. governor apologizes after prostitution link
Spitzer doesn't directly cite allegation first reported by N.Y. Times
NEW YORK - Gov. Eliot Spitzer apologized to his family and the public on Monday, but did not not elaborate on a bombshell report that he has been involved in a prostitution ring.
"I have acted in a way that violates my obligations to my family ... my sense of right and wrong," he said at a news conference at his Manhattan office. "I must now dedicate some time to rededicate my trust to my family."
Spitzer's wife stood at his side, her hands behind her back and her eyes cast downward, as he made the statement.

McCartney reportedly inks deal with Apple
McCartney reportedly inks deal with Apple: "McCartney reportedly inks deal with Apple
By Jeff Smykil | Published: March 09, 2008 - 07:43PM CT
Multiple UK news outlets are reporting today that Sir Paul McCartney has reached a deal with Apple to offer the Beatles catalog on the iTunes Store. The deal, reportedly worth $400 million, comes after months and months of speculation and relentless torrents of rumors. As best as we can tell, this is the real deal, and will lead to the most popular band of all time finally finding its way onto an online marketplace. While McCartney will be keeping much of the money, several other parties stand to benefit from the deal. It is being reported that portions of the sum will be going to families of the deceased members of the Beatles, Ringo Starr, Sony, EMI, and the former owner of the catalog, Michael Jackson.
As of today there is no time frame as to when the catalog will appear online, but it seems to just be a matter of time. McCartney himself even said in November that the catalog would be making its way onto the the store some time in 2008 While we have heard this sort of thing time and time again, this might just be the real deal. Prepare yourself—Beatlemania is coming to iTunes."
